　　台灣盛產蔬果為農業大國，而市面上介紹蔬果的書籍多以植物學角度切入，內容千遍一律。有鑑於此，本作品試圖用美學的角度介紹台灣常見的農作物「洋蔥」，期望透過多層次的美學探索，重新認識這家喻戶曉的農產品。
　　本作品為「層層－台灣洋蔥美感探索誌」，是一套適合小朋友透過美感體驗認識農作的一套教材。本教材共有四冊，分別有拼貼、洋蔥染、手抄紙、烹飪等四個手作體驗，隨書附贈材料包，讓家長可便利地進行親子同樂，一起體驗、探索與學習。
　　本教材的書封設計以洋蔥剖面為靈感，將洋蔥一層層的造形結合手抄紙形成具有漸層美感的書本裝幀。透過本作品，讓小朋友認知過去總是被丟棄的洋蔥外皮，也能廢材再利用，創造出獨特作品，體認環保的意義。

LAYERS-EXPLORING THE AESTHETICS OF ONION

Taiwan is rich in fruits and vegetables as an agriculture country. Different from most botanical books, this book series introduces 'onion' a very common vegetable in Taiwan - from aesthetics perspectives. We expect that everyone will learn onion beyond ordinary vegetable by exploring the beauty of union. This book series, 'Layers - Exploring the Aesthetics of Onion', is designed for children, showing ways to learn crops through aesthetic experience. 4 books of the series introduce 4 hands-on experiments collage, dye, hand-sheet and cook. Also, the attached materials help parents guiding children on knowing onion.
